Brief

Island Pacific delivers core retail merchandise management solutions designed to help retailers thrive in today’s fast-paced omnichannel world. With headquarters in the surf capital of the USA, the company sought a rebrand that would celebrate its cultural roots while elevating its digital presence. The rebrand introduced a bold wave of colour, dynamic imagery, and a vibrant feel that flows seamlessly across every touchpoint and asset.

Outcome

Working closely with CEO, Richard Gaetano, and Sales Executive, Richard Stack, we shaped a comprehensive brand narrative that flowed consistently across every touchpoint. The rebrand and website launch went beyond simply showcasing Island Pacific’s solutions; it created an engaging platform for connection, featuring an insights hub designed to share thought leadership and industry expertise with their audience.

This refreshed identity marks a pivotal milestone for Island Pacific, symbolising not only a renewed sense of cultural pride but also a commitment to innovation and customer-centric growth. It reflects the company’s evolution into a brand that inspires confidence, builds stronger relationships, and delivers a richer, more connected customer experience.

Brand Identity

Island Pacific’s refreshed brand identity draws inspiration from its origin story, which began on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, in the early 1970s. Fast forward 55 years, and the company’s core retail merchandise management system now operates out of California. During the rebranding process, the team looked to the sun-kissed beaches and wind-swept palm trees for creative direction. The result is a revitalised brand image that blends contemporary design with a corporate edge, setting Island Pacific apart from industry competitors and, as some might say, truly making waves.

Our main goal was to return to our roots in the Merchandise Management space, but equally important was a new site that could not only provide content for Island Pacific, but engage followers with industry insights to help navigate all the various challenges being faced, as well as celebrating all the success stories.”

Brand Narrative

A strong brand is built on a strong story, and the revitalisation of Island Pacific recognised the importance of uncovering and developing its origin narrative as a key part of the collaborative process.

By digging into archived documents, past branding concepts, and related news articles, the brand story was brought to life with renewed clarity and purpose.

Website Design + Development

The redesigned Island Pacific website was crafted to be visually engaging, easy to navigate, and fully accessible, offering users a seamless experience across all devices. Emphasis was placed on creating a cohesive digital identity through consistent messaging, clean layouts, and vibrant imagery that reflects the brand’s revitalised look and feel. Every design element was thoughtfully considered to communicate Island Pacific’s story and services with clarity and impact.

The site was developed on Squarespace, chosen for its flexibility and ease of content management, allowing for future scalability and in-house updates.

Diagram Animation

A dynamic diagram animation was created to visually represent Island Pacific’s fully integrated Retail Merchandise Management System. Using the concept of "worldwide", the animation illustrates a connected global network of multichannel retailers, highlighting how Island Pacific supports seamless operations across regions.
